Difference between cPanel and WHM
Both cPanel and WHM are the management tool for website. This means that both cPanel and WHM has the feature to manage the website. Then, what is the difference between the two. After reading the article, I can make sure that you guys will surely understand the difference between the two.
cPanel
cPanel is called as Control Panel that has various features to manage any website. That is why, cPanel is known as the management tool of the website. It is a Linux-based, open-source software that help users to conveniently manage their website. cPanel can be accessed at both user and root level but at user level limitations exist. It is divided into various sections according to the applications that is used to manage the website
But before explaining about the features of cPanel, Let me tell you that features of cPanel is dependent on the web hosting plan that you are using. WHM stands for Web Host Manager. It has the feature that allows user to manage all the cPanel accounts hosted within it. WHM is the management tool used for server administration. It is web-based control panel for administrating Linux server. WHM can be accessed at both user and administrator level. But user does not have full access, thus features may vary at each level.
But before discussing more about the features of WHM, I would like to tell you that the features of WHM also depends upon the WHM reseller hosting plan which you have been chosen.
