Upload/Download Files using FileZilla without Login to cPanel

FileZilla is free and an open source FTP Client that allows user to manage website files and directories without login to cPanel. Today, I'm sharing an article that explains the procedure how to use FileZilla to upload/ download files without being login to cPanel. 
As, I've shared many such article related to FTP and FileZilla that simplifies your work and resolve other errors as well. In this article, I'm sharing steps to use FileZilla for uploading and downloading file from server to local computer and vice-versa. Let us learn the procedure in detail.
  • Open FileZilla and click over File.
  • Select Site Manager from the list and proceed.
  • A window will appear, where you have to enter FTP Account credentials.
*If you are connecting to FileZilla for the first time then in the appeared window, click over New Site from the below section and then enter the required credentials.
  • Click over Connect to successfully connect to FTP Client, FileZilla.
List of all files or directories of server are present on right side and that of local computer on the left side.
You can easily drag and drop files or directories from one side to another to upload from local to server computer or vice-versa.

How to upload and download files or directories in FileZilla?

To upload any file from local to server computer follow the steps given below.
  • On the left side, get inside the directory where the file is present which you want to upload on server.
  • Now, get into the directory of the server where you want to upload file.
  • Right click over the file which you want to upload and then click over Upload.
You have successfully uploaded the file to the server.

To download file from server to local computer using FTP, the steps are given as:
  • On the server side, get into the directory where the file is present which you want to download.
  • Do the same, on the left side as well, i.e, get into the directory where you want to download the file.
  • Right click over the file on the server and then Download.
Thus, you have successfully downloaded the file from server to local computer.
