Email account in cPanel
As you all know, cPanel is the management tool of the website that allows user to do various task related to the website. cPanel also has various applications related to Email accounts. And these applications allows you to create custom emails, delete them, configure them with other third-party applications, track reports and many more. So, here in this article I'm going to explain features of E-mail section in cPanel.
Now, starting with the very first thing. You know, why it is necessary to create custom email accounts? Let me tell you. Suppose you have a website name thinkfornew.ga and you are using it to share your blogs and posts. You have added various social media platforms through which people reach to you. One of them is via e-mail. You have created an email id named sakshita123@gmail.com. If any of your visitor wanted to mail you then he/she will see a Gmail account. Is this look professional? I don't think so. Because Gmail resembles the account of an individual not of any organization or brand. But when you create your custom email then, people will recognize you with the identity that you have on the internet.
How to create custom email account in cPanel?
You can easily create custom email accounts in cPanel. Just follow the below mentioned steps to do the same.
1. Login to your cPanel account.
2. Get into Email section.
3. You will be directed o the next page, where you have to fill the required details to create a custom email account.
Email: Enter the name with which you want to create custom email.
Domain: Select the domain name from the drop down button.
Password: Enter the strong password of your choice and enter again to confirm. Click over the Create Account.
4. Scroll down to Email accounts section and you will find that you have successfully created a custom email account.
You have successfully created your custom email account in cPanel. As I've already said that you can do several other task in cPanel related to custom email accounts. So, here I will explain some of them.
How to change custom email password?
You can modify your custom email password if required. But let me tell you that you cannot check for the old password of your custom email. Now, let's learn about the procedure with which you can easily change your custom email password.
1. Login to your cPanel account and get into Email section.
2. Select Email Accounts and you will be directed to the next page.
3. Now, scroll down to Email Accounts section where you will get list of all your custom email accounts.
5. Enter the strong password and confirm it. Then click over Change Password to update the new password.
Now you have successfully changed your custom email password and can now access it.
How to access custom email in cPanel?
As you know, cPanel supports various third-party applications that simplifies user task by allowing them to use directly via cPanel. One of such is webmail. cPanel supports third-party application like roundcube to easily access webmail in cPanel. So, I will illustrate the procedure to access custom email in cPanel.
1. Go to Email section in cPanel and select Email accounts.
2. Scroll down to Email accounts section in the next page where you will find list of all your custom email accounts.
3. Select the email of which you want to access webmail and click over More option.
4. Select Access Webmail from the list of given options.
So, with the procedure mentioned above, you have learned to create and access custom email accounts. You can also delete a particular custom email account by selecting Delete option.
