We know that cPanel is the management tool of the website that has all data related to website. While managing the data, sometimes we make some mistakes because of which cPanel does not respond properly and results into an unexpected error. Example of such error is the one I'm explaining.

Talking about the solution of the mentioned error. As I've already said, that the best solution for any error or mistake is to find the main reason because of which it has occurred. So, today in this tutorial I will explain the reason and the solution because of which the particular error occurs.

The error "No specific error was returned with the failed API call" occurs while creating an email account in cPanel. This is because of absence of a directory inside File Manager named etc directory.

As we have find the valid reason for the mentioned error then it can be easily resolved. Now, one more question arises here, that how to get the etc directory? The answer to this question is very simple. It is of sure that you have been maintaining the backup of your website data. Then, simply get into your backup file and search for the homedir inside which you will get the etc directory. Well here I've used the cPanel interface of REDSERVERHOST to illustrate the solution of the mentioned error.

Upload the directory inside File Manager and check if the issue has been resolved.
*If you will not be able to upload etc directory into the cPanel File Manager then compress the etc directory into .zip file and then upload it inside File Manager and Extract the file.
