Redirect Website to HTTPS through CLOUDFLARE
Cloudflare is one of the famous and known web application firewall that allows user to manage security of the website. It creates a layer of security between the web server and web application thus allows user to securely connect with everything on the internet.
If I discuss about the security, then installing SSL certificate is the first level of security that is applied. I've written an article that explains about the security of the website. It is important as well to redirect website to HTTPS as search engines like Google rank those website with HTTPS as safe.
So, we can easily add website to Cloudflare to manage the security of the website. You can also add HTTPS redirection to your website from Cloudflare.
- Login to Cloudflare Dashboard or sign up (if not having an account.
- Add your website to Cloudflare (if not added).
- Follow the steps given in the blog to set up Cloudflare.
- Now, from the left panel list, click over Rules and then select Page Rules.
- On the next page, Create Page Rule.
- Enter the details required on the next page.
a. URL: In this section, enter the URL of the website which you want to redirect to HTTPS.
b. Pick a Setting: Select setting as Always Use HTTPS from the drop down menu.
- Save and Deploy Page Rule to set up the page rule and redirect the website to HTTPS.
You have successfully redirect website to HTTPS through CLOUDFLARE. Hope the procedure help you to accomplish your task.
