Today, I'm sharing an article that will explain the procedure to manage cPanel accounts suspension. This feature is available in WHM panel in all type of web hosting services by REDSERVERHOST.

Managing account suspension can be done via both WHM and SSH. In this article I will share both the procedures to manage suspension of cPanel accounts. Let us learn about each procedure in detail.

Suspend and Unsuspend cPanel Accounts via WHM

You can easily suspend or unsuspend cPanel accounts via WHM by following the below mentioned steps. 
To suspend any cPanel account follow the below given steps.
  • Login to WHM panel.
  • Get inside Account Information section.
  • List of features will appear. Select List Accounts feature from the list.
  • On the next page, list of all accounts will appear.
  • Click over the + icon and multiple options will appear.
  • From the options, click over Suspend as marked in the image.
  • You will get the notification of successful suspension of selected cPanel account.
Follow the below given steps to unsuspend the suspended cPanel account.
  • In WHM panel, get inside List Account section under Account Information.
  • All the cPanel accounts will appear listed on the next page and the suspended account would be highlighted.
  • Click over + icon of the suspended account and multiple options will appear.
  • Click over Unsuspend from the given options and that's it.
The above given procedure explains how to suspend or unsuspend cPanel accounts via WHM. The procedure explained above can be done via WHM panel of all type of hosting services. Now, the next method to suspend or unsuspend any cPanel account is, via SSH.
SSH is known for connecting securely and managing things at remote server. Thus account suspension can also be managed via SSH. Let us see the whole procedure to manage account suspension using SSH.

Suspend and Unsuspend cPanel Accounts via SSH

SSH works on command line that means to do any task user has to execute related command. There are multiple commands to manage task via SSH and thus account suspension can also be done by using the below mentioned commands. 
To suspend any account via SSH, use the below given command.
/scripts/suspendacct username "Reason"   
Suppose, you want to suspend a cPanel account named abc, then the given command would be as: 
/scripts/suspendacct abc "not required"
Similarly, to unsuspend any cPanel account vis SSH, related command would be,
 /scripts/unsuspendacct username
Here also, if user want to unsuspend the account named abc, then the above command would be as :
 /scripts/unsuspendacct abc
*Account Suspension via SSH can be managed by the user having administrative power not with Reseller.
